The nine species of Cryptocellus known from Central America are diagnosed and illustrations of the male tarsal process and female spermathecae are provided.The male of C.centralis Fage is redescribed and the female allotype of C.fagei Cooke and Shadab is transferred to C.centralis. The female of C.striatipes Cooke and Shadab is described for the first time. Four new species (C. osa,C. goodnighti,C. chiriqui, and C. gamboaare described from Costa Rica and Panama.

Two new species of the centralis group of Cryptocellus are described from Central America: Cryptocellus verde from Costa Rica and Cryptocellus bocas from Panama.
