Abstract:

A new genus, Gertschosa, is described in the family Gnaphosidae. Poecilochroa concinna Simon, P. cingulata (Roewer), P. amphiloga (Chamberlin), Cesonia cincta Banks, and C. nigra Chickering are transferred to GertschosaTwo specific names are newly synonymized: G. cingulata with G.concinna, and G.nigra with G. cincta. One new species, G. palisadoes, is described from Jamaica.
