| Abstract: | This paper is the result of the study of the scorpions species of Centruroides (Buthidae). collected by the "Jaccoud-De Chambrier 1983" expedition to Nicaragua. Three species were collected in the Lake Managua region (Momotombo and Momotombito Vol- canoes): Didymocentrus krausi Francke, 1978 (Diplocentridae), Centruroides margaritatus (Gervais, 1841) and a new species Centruroides mahnerti n. sp. (Buthidae). Some comments on the taxonomic position of the new species are included. |
